Can I pose a few questions?

1. Should the US have coveted Mexican land?

2. If the Mexican War was really about Texas then why did we invade Mexico and subsequently take California from Mexico?

3. Was the money we paid to Mexico in any way equitable?

4. Was the crucible of the Mexican War effective in producing quality military leaders?
